We offer a complete line of high temperature refractories ranging from castables, mortars, plastics and plasters, and dry vibratable cement, better known as DVC’s.
The refractories supplied by Saint-Gobain, dry vibration monolithics as well as the ramming and castable monolithics offer outstanding success in coreless and channel furnaces, ladles, tundishes, throats and launders for use under high thermal and complex chemical operating conditions. The DVC’s provide unmatched downtimes and relining costs due to shorter installation and firing times. They can be vibrated in successive layers with a Bosch vibrator or in a single run with a form or internal vibrator.
The DVC’s inherent loose backup minimizes the size and depth of cracking, acts as a barrier against the penetration of metal fins and makes it easier to pull out the lining after the end of the campaign.
Castables are available in conventional, low and ultra-low cement formulations. They are manufactured in medium to super duty fireclay, aluminum resistant, high strength, insulating and high purity tabular alumina formulations with temperature ranges from 2200F to 3200F.
Mortars are available in heat, air set and chemically bonded formulations in either mullite or fireclay.
Plastics and patching refractories are available as either air set or phosphate bonded ranging from super duty to high alumina as well as silicon carbide.
Consideration is always given to minimize penetration of metal and slag, erosion, thermal cracks and build-up in choosing refractories for furnaces. Castables and plastics are carefully recommended with the thermal parameters and value of the product considered.
